Whale Watching

Kleinzee overlooks the calm waters of Walker Bay Nature Reserve which is one of the top whale watching destinations in the world. Whale season is from July to December.
During July to September large numbers of adult whales can be seen via boat in the calm waters of Walker Bay. From September to November, mother and calf pairs come very close to the edge of the cliffs making for excellent land based whale watching and photography.
We arrange boat based marine safari's for guests with Ivanhoe Sea Safari's. The trip lasts 2 hours and departs from Gansbaai Harbour, 5 km from the guesthouse.
